Home Delivered Meals:

Kingston Area:

Angel Food East--for Kingston area people with AIDS only. Monday-Friday, 11:30 am-1 pm. Answering machine --331-6538

Onteora School District Area:

Meals on Wheels--delivers meals to older and/or disabled people, and those recovering from operations or accidents. A program of the Dutch Reformed Church in Woodstock; a donation of $3 per meal is requested. Delivery Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-11:15 am. For information, call 679-4656.

County-Wide:

Lunch Together--home delivery of meals for senior citizens aged 60 and over, arranged through Office for Aging -for eligibility and other information, call Office for Aging at 340-3456.

Free and/or Low Cost Congregate Meals:

County-Wide:

Senior Citizen Lunch Together--program located in six areas of the county; Ellenville, Phoenicia, Highland, Rosendale, Kingston and Saugerties. A donation of $2 is requested; no one is turned away because of inability to pay. Program is under the auspices of the Ulster County Office for Aging. For information, call 340-3456.

Ellenville Area:

Shiloh Baptist Church-- Berme Road. Wednesdays, 12 noon-2 pm.

Kingston Area:

Clinton Ave. Methodist Church--122 Clinton Ave., Kingston. Lunch Monday-Friday; doors open at 11:45 am; lunch served from 12 noon -12:30 pm., 331-7188.

Weekend Lunch Program--Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 30 Pine Grove Ave., Kingston. Lunch on Saturdays from 11:30 am-12:30 pm, and on Sundays from 12:30 pm-1:30 pm. 331-6796.

Kosher Senior Lunch--(open to all seniors)every Wednesday at Congregation Agudas Achim on 254 Lucas Ave. Kingston Call: 338-2980 for reservations. Donation of $2-5 requested. Speakers & activities regularly scheduled. Guests welcome.

New Paltz Area:

New Paltz--St. Joseph's Church, 34 South Chestnut St., New Paltz. Provides hot lunches on Thursdays from 12 noon-1 p.m. for senior citizens and others in need at the Church hall. For additional information, call 255-5635.

Saugerties Area:

God Given Bread, Atonement Lutheran Church--100 Market St., Saugerties. Lunch Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon. 246-8322.

Woodstock Area:

Daily Bread Soup Kitchen-- Christ's Lutheran Church, 26 Mill Hill Road, Woodstock. Dinner Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4 pm-6 pm. 679-2336.

Kingston Area:

Community Action--70 Lindsley Ave., Kingston, 338-8750. Monday-Friday, 9 am-11:30 am. Contact person--Dorothy Marable

Catholic Charities Homeless and Hungry Office--St. Joseph's Mission, Conifer Lane, Hurley, 338-7121. Contact person--Pat LaRue. Monday-Friday, 11 am-3:30 pm. Catholic Charities also operates a food pantry in the city of Kingston which serves persons with special dietary needs. Call 340-9170 for information.

People's Place--620 Broadway, Kingston, 338-4030. Monday-Friday, 10 am-1 pm.

Salvation Army--35 Cedar St., Kingston, 331-2654, 331-1803. Tuesday-Friday, 9 am-12 pm.

St. Clara's Church of God--243 Hurley Avenue, Kingston. Monday, Wednesday & Friday, from 9 am -3 pm. 339-4615.

Manna From Heaven -- New Central Baptist Church, 229 E. Strand, Kingston, 339-3269. Wednesdays and Fridays, from 11 am- 1 pm.

Soap Closet--Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 30 Pine Grove Ave., Kingston, 331-6796. Cleaning products only (soap, detergent, shampoo, etc.) Last week of month only; Monday-Thursday, 9 am -12 pm.

Gardiner Area:

Family Outreach Food Pantry and the Wings on Wheels Mobile Food Pantry-- Second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Gary Jackson is the contact person (845-380-8799). The pantry is closed mid-June through mid-August.

Highland Area:

Highland Community Action--15 Church St., Highland, 691- 8722. Food Closet open Monday- Friday from 10 am-12 noon and 1 pm-3 pm. Closed on holidays. Annie Cruz is the contact.

Marlboro Area:

St. Mary's Rectory--Bloom St., Marlboro, 236-4340. No specific hours; provides food on an emergency basis.

Milton Area, but serves entire county:

Rural Opportunities--Industrial Park, Route 9W, Milton, 795-2092. Monday-Friday 9 am-4 pm.

New Paltz Area:

Family of New Paltz -- 51 North Chestnut St, New Paltz, 255-8801. Monday - Thursday, 10 am-5 pm, Friday, 9 am-4 pm. Also last Saturday of every month.

St. Joseph's Church -- 34 South Chestnut St., New Paltz, 255-5635. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 11 am-12 noon. May be used once a month; must show ID.

Phoenicia Area:

Methodist Church--Church Road, Phoenicia, 688-5670. Food Pantry open Tuesday and Thursday from 12 noon to 2 pm. Restrictions: limited to once every three months.

Rondout Valley:

Rondout Valley Food Pantry--Christ the King Episcopal Church, Stone Ridge, 687-4013. Contact person Judy Borzumato. Must call before 9 am on Tuesday and Thursday for pick up and delivery also on Tuesday and Thursday. Mandatory 8 week waiting period between requests.

Rochester Food Pantry--Accord. For town of Rochester residents and hamlet of Kerhonkson only. Call 626-7501 to arrange for pick up. Answering machine is monitored daily except Sunday. Three day supply given; limit one time per month. Pantry has two freezers and large refrigerator, and can supply perishable food. Pantry is located in the rear of the Accord Fire House.

Rosendale Area:

Rosendale Food Pantry-- Located on James St, 658-9385. Open Mondays 9 am- 1 pm.

Saugerties Area:

Atonement Lutheran Church--100 Market St., Saugerties, Call for hours, 246-8322.

St. John the Evangelist Church--915 Rt. 212, Saugerties, 246-9581. Serves parish boundaries only. Tuesday, Wednesday Friday, 9 am-1 pm.

Saugerties Food Pantry-- sponsored by Saugerties Council of Churches, Post St., (44 Livingston Street) Saugerties, 246-6885. Monday and Thursday, 10 am- 12 noon; Tuesday 7 pm - 8 pm.

Wallkill Area:

Loaves and Fishes Pantry--Wallkill Reformed Church, Bridge St. and Church St., Wallkill, 895-2181. Serves Wallkill School District only. Tuesday 11 am-1 pm.

His Love Unveiled Food Pantry--Mid-Hudson Christian Church, 2393 Route 300, Wallkill. Serves people from throughout Ulster County with the following guidelines: those persons living within the Wallkill/Walden/Plattekill/Gardiner/Modena area are eligible to receive food on an as-needed basis (ideally, not more often than two times per month); those living outside this geographical area may receive food once each month. Pantry is open Sundays from 12:30 pm- 1:30 pm; Tuesdays from 12 noon-2 pm and Friday evenings from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm. Call 895-3006 for additional information.

Wawarsing Area/Ellenville Area:

Town of Wawarsing Home Relief Office--Mrs. Craft, 647-4920. Distributes bread and pastries when available to village and town residents only.

Bethlehem Church-- 101 So Main St Ellenville, 2nd floor, has a soup kitchen 12-2 pm on Tuesdays. For info, 794-5047.

Ellenville United Methodist Church--83 Canal St., Ellenville. 647-7094. Wednesdays only 9 am -10:30 am.

Family of Ellenville--221 Canal St., (Towpath entrance), Ellenville, 647-2443. M,W 9 am- 6 pm; Tues, Th, Friday 9 am - 4:30 pm.

Hosanna Assembly of God--Canal St., Ellenville, 647-4204. Distribution every 2nd Friday from 5-7 pm.

Seventh Day Adventist Church--Clinton Avenue and Center St., 647-5998 has a food distribution the last Mon and Tuesday of each month.

St Mary and St Andrew RC Church-- Ellenville, has a food pantry. 647-4771 or 647-6080

Community Action--Center and Market St., Ellenville, 647-6061. Requires income verification and proof of family size. Contact person--Rosemary Melendez.

Woodstock Area:

Family of Woodstock--16 Rock City Road, Woodstock, 679-2485. Serves Woodstock and areas of Ulster County west of Woodstock. Open daily 9:15 am to 9:45 pm. Limit--one time per month; 3 days supply of food provided.

Good Neighbor's Food Pantry--Dutch Reformed Church, 18 Tinker St., Woodstock. 679-8800. Sponsored by the Woodstock Council of Churches. Open Thursday from 9 am - 11 am. Primarily serves Woodstock area, but will assist anyone in need.

Daily Bread Soup Kitchen-- 26 Mill Hill Road, Woodstock. 246-3036 x 333. Open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings 4 pm - 6 pm at Christ's Lutheran Church.
