10:00-2:00 pm

This meeting will be teleconferenced from Garden City, Endicott, and Rochester. Local Board Chairs are encouraged to participate through the entire meeting’s agenda.

AGENDA

10:00-11:00System Indicators & System Report Cards: How Do We Measure And Report on the System’s Successes and Establish Indicators for Continuous Improvement? Discussion to be framed and moderated by Greg Newton
  • Presentation of the collaborative work product of a team of Local Workforce Investment Board Directors across New York State on system indicators
  • A national perspective: what is going on around the country and in Washington and how can the State Board help inform and participate in that dialog?

(A draft paper reflecting both an executive summary and a longer overview of the scope of the various meetings and discussions held by the workgroup on this topic should be reviewed prior to the meeting for contextual purposes. The workgroup is ultimately seeking approval by the State Board of the development of system indicators to be used by all of New York State’s workforce areas for use in measuring system improvement. It is anticipated that this day’s dialog will lead to further discussion such that the January meeting might provide an opportunity for the State Board to approve at least some initial system indicators for use and reporting purposes.)
