Thank you to those of you that participated in the NY State Workforce Boards Internal Communication Survey, conducted by the Communication Design Team chartered by the Board. We received a 25% response rate to the survey. We want to encourage you to examine the full results of the survey. Below are some important highlights for your review.
- Over 80% of you agreed that you are informed about all the steps required to move a customer through core, intensive and training services.
- 75% of you agreed that you have been informed about how to access current partner services.
- Over 80% of you agreed that there was good communication among staff of the partner agencies in the Center where you work.
- Over 45% of you agreed that you hear about important information through rumor rather than formal means.
- 40% of you disagree that there is common technology for reporting and recording.
- 46% of you disagree that appropriate information on customers is shared across programs and partners to ensure customers do not have to provide information multiple times.
- 45% of you disagree that there is one organizational culture within the center where you work.
- 48% of you disagree that core customer processes are deployed consistently by all staff.
This feedback is very valuable and will help us in our work as we progress in the development of strategies and recommendations for improvements for presentation to the Systems Integration Subcommittee of the State Workforce Board. We will be submitting our recommendations to the Subcommittee on or before November 30, 2005. The Communication Design Team will use the information to develop strategies that it believes shall improve the internal staff and partners’ communication process throughout the one stop system. Our report will be public at that time.
Again, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your thoughts, comments, and suggestions for improvement.
